The following is some quick snippets of info i gained from the Xendesktop session in synergy this year.
Xendesktop - Hypervisor broker controller.
In order to control which DDC is preffered to manage connections to your chosen hypervisor read the following article CTX134576
To enable extended DDC logging reference this article CTX127492
Xendesktop site check tool CTX133767
DDC listed in the agent are accessed randomly until one replys.
If you wish to set a preffered group the following syntax can be used
(ddc1 ddc2) (ddc3 ddc4)
this would try 1 and 2 before it ever tried to contact 3 and 4. This type on config can be used in multi datacentre environments.
XDPing tool - CTX123278
Xendesktop VDA High availability can be enabled for dedicated desktops with the following article. CTX127392 This simply starts the ICA listener to enable remote ICA connections in the event that all DDCs are unavailable. Im not sure this is required for most use cases.
Xendesktop Database sizing guide CTX127939
If SQL mirroring will be used for the databases then full recovery mode should be enabled to perfmon transaction logging. The transaction log in this case can grow quite large and should be sized appropriately The transaction log should also be backed up to ensure that it clears itself down.
(eg. 145MB for 100 users per day)
