I wanted to check that Appsense Performance Manager was performing its Memory Trimming trick for virtualized applications.
For anyone who does not know about memory trimming, it is a neat trick that Appsense Performance Manager performs to reduce the memory useage on all running processes. I have posted some real world results previously on this link
http://thinworldblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/appsense-memory-optimization-real-world.html
To test i launched a very plain Word Document in Word 2007 delivered to a 2003 Terminal server with the APP-V 4.6 Client. I performed the launch multiple times on a server with Appsense Performance manager enabled and then disabled and took the averages.
The result was an average memory saving of 21MB !!
Appsense ON - winword.exe Average Memory useage was 13,246KB
Appsense OFF - winword.exe Average Memory useage was 34,351KB
