Give XenApp Desktops the Windows 7 Look and Feel

With Server 2008 R2 and XenApp we have an opportunity to deliver users a desktop that looks and feels like Windows 7.

If migrating users from a XenApp on Server 2003 desktop this can be a real opportunity to improve the users desktop experience. Alot of users will of course be familiar with the interface from home PCs or possibly their corporate desktop. Tools like the address bar and Links can provide productivity enhancements and should be encouraged.

To give users the Windows 7 Desktop look and feel on Server 2008 R2 you need to perform the following

Add the feature "Desktop Experience"
Enable the service "Themes" - Computer Config\Preferences\Control Panel\Services
Deploy The required Theme - User Config\Admin Templates\Control Panel\Personalization
