Access Gateway and Storefront integration Error

After my CAG passes me through to Storefront i get the following error message. 


Could not log off from Access Gateway. Please close your browser to log off

I have added a host entry on the SF server to ensure that the callbackURL is directed internally.
I have checked my STAs are set correctly.
I have checked all the services on storefront are ok
I get the same error if i logon to CAG internally from the SF
I confirmed SF is working by logging on directly to it with username and password

This problem was resolved in the end by having to add the intermediate certificate from external signing company (godaddy) onto the trusted Intermediates list on the storefront servers.
