SDelete to remove Free space in Virtual Desktop

The SDELETE tool from sysinternals at Microsoft removes freespace within a windows image.

This can be very handy in virtual machine environments where we clone machines and are tight on disk-space.

Download SDelete from here
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb897443.aspx

Run the command

Sdelete -c -z C:

It also a good practive to run this on a regaular basis to claim back space from deleted files.
